Join URAC in Developing Health Care AI Standards

Committee applications are closed. We will notify applicants of their selection status by March 19, 2025.

URAC is developing a new and groundbreaking Health Care Artificial Intelligence (AI) Accreditation, designed to provide organizations with standards for the safe and ethical implementation of AI in health care settings.

This accreditation will build on URAC’s existing high-quality standards for patient safety and communications and risk management. URAC accreditation is more than simply principles for AI, but rather an independent verification of quality use of technology. This accreditation will demonstrate that an organization uses AI safely and in coordination with best practices.

And we want your input!

How to be involved in developing this accreditation

We invite you – health care leaders, AI experts, policymakers and other stakeholders – to participate in our Health Care AI Advisory Committee, where you’ll be able to provide input on the accreditation standards.

Members will explore several focus areas including risk management, consumer protection, patient encounters, clinical care and others deemed essential to develop accreditation standards. Committee meetings will begin in early April and last for four weeks. The total time commitment will be 8-10 hours.

Committee applications are closed. We will notify applicants of their selection status by March 19, 2025.
