A new survey shows workplace incivility is on the rise in 2025, with more employees reporting rudeness, exclusion and other forms of unprofessional behavior that negatively affect morale and productivity.
According to the research, 76% of employees have witnessed or experienced incivility at work in the past year, which is a notable increase from prior years. These trends underscore the urgent need for organizations to foster healthier and more respectful workplace cultures. Employers committed to prioritizing mental health and employee well-being can take a proactive step by pursuing URAC’s Mental Health at Work Accreditation, which supports comprehensive, organization-wide approaches to creating psychologically safe and respectful work environments.
