Black Maternal Health Week recognizes the efforts of organizations working to improve maternal health outcomes. URAC honors and thanks these organizations for all they do to provide quality care to a population that has seen generations of systemic injustices, reproductive prejudices and health inequities.
“The work done by these organizations is incredibly important to all of health care because when we improve the health care for mothers and babies, we help families thrive and improve the overall well-being of communities,” says Vice President, Accrediting and Client Services, Karen Watts, PhP, RN, PMP. “We believe in recognizing the important efforts organizations take to address systemic inequities across the health care spectrum.”
URAC’s Health Equity Accreditation is available to any health care organization that uses data and strategic initiatives to improve the lives of the underrepresented patients they serve.
